Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Summer Reading Program Coordinator:
Summer Reading Program (SRP):
  1. Participate in the design and development of a summer reading program for children and teens based on the TD Summer Reading Incentive Program theme.
  2. Set up and take down of daily programs, preparation of materials required for programs, participation in data collection and other duties as assigned.
  3. Promote programs for the SRP.
  4. Assist with decorating the library for the SRP, following the 2018 theme.
  5. Deliver programs for the SRP.

 
Circulation Desk:

  1. Lend and collect books, periodicals, movies, and other materials.
  2. Sort books, publications, and other items according to established procedure and return them to shelves, files, or other designated storage areas.
  3. Locate library materials for patrons, including books, periodicals, and movies.
  4. Inspect returned books for condition and due-date status, and compute any applicable fines.
  5. Maintain records of items received, stored, issued, and returned.
  6. Assist in the preparation of book and other displays.

 
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Potential candidates must be active High School students over the age of 15 years old.
Preferred Skills
Previous work experience with children and knowledge of computer applications is considered to be an asset.
